CAPTAIN AMERICA
At the onset of World War II, Steve Rogers was deemed unfit for service, but was selected to participate in the top-secret Operation: Rebirth. Transformed by the Super Soldier Serum, he became Captain America, gifted with superhuman strength, stamina and agility. Falling into suspended animation, he was resusciated decades later and became one of Earth’s greatest heroes. Now, he’s become the Protector of the Universe, gifted with the Cosmic Awareness and Nega-Bands once wielded by his old friend, Mar-Vell.
MOONSTAR
A Cheyenne mutant with the ability to pull thoughts and memories from the minds of others, Danielle Moonstar was one of the original New Mutants, eventually becoming one of the Valkyrie of Asgard for a time. She served among the Valkyrior with great valor and was eventually named their leader. After the massive casualties suffered by Asgard during True Ragnarok, Moonstar was named as Thor’s replacement as Ambassador to the COuncil. She is engaged in a long-term relationship with Captain America.
BETA RAY BILL
Transformed by the Korbonites into a cybernetic being in order to serve as their champion, Beta Ray Bill battled Thor and picked up his discarded hammer, Mjolnir, being declared worthy of its power. After being granted a similar hammer, Stormbreaker, Bill became a hero to his people and the Asgardians. Bill was the primary teacher to the Orphans of War through the years and his extensive historiographies of the Age of Marvels are on display at the Heimdall Library.
BEN-VELL PARKER
A human/Kree hybrid as well as the successor to two historic legacies, Ben-Vell Parker is both a warrior and a student, encouraged to discover the history of his world by his mentor, Beta Ray Bill.
ATTUMIDUNN
Daughter of Luna, the Celestial Messiah, Attumidunn is the lost child of Atlantis. Raised in Asgard, she is a stalwart and fearless member of the Valkyrior, as well as in a relationship with Ben-Vell Parker.
ANGELICA OSBORN
Angelica is both the most studious and youngest of the Orphans, as well as the only one not possessing any powers. The distance she kept from the other Orphans was not a result of these differences, as they believed, but out of a concern for their safety. Only recently has Angel revealed to her friends the truth about her lineage, and her fear that one day, she too, will succumb to the Goblin Legacy of Evil and seek to kill those she loves most.
ESHIR MAXIMOFF
Eshir is missing both hands, lost in his youth to the Fenris Wolf in the same accident that took the life of Jonas Barton. Eshir spent most of his life blaming Ben-Vell for the incident and only recently have the two come to terms with the past. He is also scarred on the left half of his face when he passed out on the ice sheets of Jotunheim as a child. Esh is the most powerful of all the Orphans and also the most arrogant, though as of late he has tried to be more open with his friends.
K’ZAN STRANGE
K’Zan Strange has spent his life as the biggest failure of the Orphans. Though he bears the last name Strange, K’Zan has no apparent relation to the former Sorcerer Supreme of this reality. He is the product of several couplings between men and women of alternate times and realities and his body struggles to cope with the disparities.
