Runaways

ALEX WILDER

Alex WilderIt was one thing to be living under the assumption that his parents were just like everyone else’s parents. Finding out his parents were super-villains changed Alex Wilder’s life entirely. The victim of one of Jonas Harrow’s experiments, Alex has found himself granted the mechanical power of super-speed. Now the leader of the ragtag group of Runaways and the head of the former Pride’s operations in Los Angeles, Alex struggles with the responsibility of growing up and the balance of running a city of crime and protecting the city from the criminals on his payroll.

NICO MINORU

Nico MinoruBloodlines run deep in the Minoru family. After encountering the mysterious Staff of One, a talisman that allows her to cast any spell once, Nico has learned that her family has ties to magic going all the way back to ancient Japanese culture. The true nature of this magic remains unknown to her. Ever since encountering her grandfather and vampire great-uncle, Nico has begun to wonder just how much of her family is left, and if she, out of all the kids, might have the chance at rebuilding what they all have lost.

CHASE STEIN

Chase SteinHis father always told Chase Stein that his life would never amount to anything more than a few cases of beer and a welfare check every month. Following his father’s death, Chase made it his goal to prove his father wrong, finding a new prowess in technology. Armed with flame-spewing gauntlets, x-ray goggles, and an energy staff, Chase has also found himself imbued with unreliable light and darkness powers that have been made semi-permanent by an unforeseen reaction between the two drugs. He is arguably one of the most powerful members of the team.

KAROLINA DEAN

Karolina DeanDiscovering that her parents were super-villains was not the most shocking revelation of the evening—it was learning that she was an alien that was the kicker. Karolina’s alien nature gives her solar-based powers which include flight and the ability to create solid light shields. As the mother hen, Karolina has become the heart of the team. However, her greatest frustration comes from the way she has been taken out in battle, and she has taken great steps toward preventing herself from ever feeling helpless again.

MOLLY HAYES

Molly HayesAt twelve years old, Molly Hayes is the youngest Runaway of the group. She adjusted to the new lifestyle most easily, likely because she is the only member of the team to have known about her mutant powers since birth. Molly’s powers are an expression of her core being: she has a lot of strength stuffed into a small package. It is that strength that expresses itself in a range from childish comments to wisdom beyond her years.
