Ultimate Spider-Man

SPIDER-MAN

Spider-ManA nineteen-year-old college freshman, Peter Parker attends Empire State University on a scholarship that allowed him to work with Professor Curt Connors. While assisting Connors with an experiment, Peter was bitten by a genetically-modified spider, granting him superhuman abilities. At first, Peter used his powers for fame as a reality TV star for Oscorp. However, after Peter’s actions resulted in the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter realized that with great power comes great responsibility. Now, he lives up to the example set by his uncle and father as a costumed superhero, the Amazing Spider-Man!

FLASH THOMPSON

Flash ThompsonA freshman at ESU who earned an athletic scholarship. Eugene Thompson earned the nickname “Flash” for his speed when on the football field. With an undeclared major, Flash was paired up with Peter as his roommate. Hot-headed and arrogant, Pete frequently finds Flash’s attitude to grind at his nerves. Ironically, although Flash thinks very little of Peter, he is a huge fan of Spider-Man, completely ignorant that his roommate is the web-slinger.

GWEN STACY

Gwen StacyThe daughter of Captain George Stacy of the NYPD, Gwen is twenty-one and a junior at ESU. Pursuing a major in English, Gwen is also a resident advisor on the floor where Peter and Flash share a dorm. She and Peter have quickly developed a friendship and although Peter is attracted to her, he recently discovered she has a boyfriend—Harry Osborn, Peter’s only other friend on campus.

HARRY OSBORN

Harry OsbornThe son of a wealthy media mogul, Harry Osborn is a junior at ESU pursuing a major in public relations. His mother died when he was young and with his father constantly away on business, Harry found himself raised by caretakers, never really making a connection with his father. At ESU, Harry is the head of the Alpha Sigma Lambda fraternity on campus and meets Pete and Flash while trying to recruit freshmen. Recently, Peter discovered, much to his dismay, that Harry and Gwen were dating and that Harry has taken his intended job as a freelance photographer for the Daily Bugle.

AUNT MAY

Aunt MayA real estate agent, May Parker is Peter’s aunt. Unable to have children of her own, May welcomed the chance to raise Peter and treats him as if he were her own flesh and blood. At first, she was dismayed that Peter chose to live on campus, but Ben convinced her it was for the best. Since Ben’s death, Peter had decided to move back home, but May insisted that he stay in the dorms, no matter how much she wanted him to return.

MARY JANE WATSON

Mary Jane WatsonA senior at Midtown High, the school Peter graduated from. Mary Jane has lived next door to the Parkers all her life and her and Peter have been friends since they were children. An actress, Mary Jane is frequently cast in Midtown High’s plays and has a pretty eclectic circle of friends. She is attracted to Peter, but due to his insecurities, he seems to think otherwise and ignores the connection between them.

NORMAN OSBORN

Norman OsbornThe CEO of Oscorp and Harry’s father. Norman is a shrewd businessman and through Oscorp has his hands in everything from scientific research to entertainment. After the death of his wife, Osborn threw himself completely into his work and was not present very much during Harry’s childhood. At first, Osborn tracked down Peter and convinced him to work for Oscorp as the star of a reality TV show. Since Peter left the show, however, Osborn has borne a grudge towards his former employee, and Norman is ruthless enough to seek vengeance.

JEAN DeWOLFF

Jean DeWolffA tough-as-nails NYPD detective, Jean DeWolff first crossed paths with Peter Parker when she was investigating the rampage of the Lizard on ESU’s campus as well as the subsequent disappearance of Professor Curt Connors. She has noted the convenient timing of the appearance of the Lizard, Spider-Man and the Goblin and how they all coincided with Connors’ own disappearance. And although she’s not sure how, she knows that Peter is somehow connected to all of it and she intends to find out.
