WOLVERINE
Known only as Logan, the Canadian mutant called Wolverine was one of the second generation of X-Men and has long been a mainstay of the team. Formerly possessed of an unbreakable adamantium skeleton, Wolverine now relies on his animal senses, healing factor, and claws of bone to get him through a fight.
MAVERICK
A former CIA operative working for Team X, David North, a.k.a. Christoph Nord, became a mercenary-for-hire. Since then, he has specialized in the dirty jobs that no one else wants to do yet desperately need doing, using his mutant power to absorb and rechannel kinetic impact at will. Infected with the Legacy Virus and faced with an uncertain future, Maverick has no way of knowing what will kill him first: his many enemies… or his own body!
DEADPOOL
When Wade Wilson, mercenary extraordinaire, was diagnosed with cancer he underwent an experimental treatment at the Weapon X project designed to emulate Wolverine’s healing factor. The treatment saved Wilson’s life, but also drove him insane and horribly disfigured him and he continues his work under the alias of Deadpool.
SABRETOOTH
Victor Creed was forced to work with X-Factor by the U.S. Government before he managed to free himself of an inhibiting collar and escape. He is a psychopathic killer who has heightened senses and a healing factor that can heal almost any wound or disease. Once possessing an adamantium skeleton akin to that which his mortal enemy Wolverine once had, it was forcibly removed from Sabretooth by the X-Man Polaris.
BLACK TOM CASSIDY
Cousin of the former X-Man known as Banshee, Tom Cassidy is a mutant with the power to generate bio-electric energy from his body. Black Tom is also the often-times partner of the Juggernaut. As of late, Black Tom has had problems controlling his abilities and has caught the attention of the new Weapon X program.
JUGGERNAUT
While in the army with his step-brother, Charles Xavier, Cain Marko came into the possession of the Crimson Ruby of Cyttorak, which imbued him with mystical strength and invulnerability, transforming him into a living Juggernaut. Recently he has absorbed the full power of the ruby, making him even more unstoppable. Over the years, the Juggernaut has been one of the X-Men’s greatest foes.
WEAPON X
The latest person to carry the title of Weapon X, this Australian was altered by Doctor Huxley while he still worked at Department H. Seemingly sacrificing himself to save Canada from an overloading nuclear reactor, the new Weapon X somehow survived and has gone with Huxley to the Weapon X project.
