THE WOLVERINE
The man known as Logan has been many things in his life—soldier, spy, experiment, and hero. But with the mutant healing factor that had kept him alive for over a century had finally burnt out, Logan found his life quickly slipping away. Still, he pushed forward as the X-Man Wolverine, going out fighting his greatest enemy, Sabretooth—a battle that cost Logan his life. But the Weapon X Program somehow brought him back. What is left is an empty shell—armed with the healing factor and adamantium claws of the Wolverine, but nothing of the man.
DAKEN
In 1946, the man called Logan lived in Japan with a woman named Itsu and his infant son, Akihiro. One day, Logan discovered his wife and child dead and went off on his own. But what he didn’t know was that Akihiro survived and was placed on the doorstep of a young, wealthy couple. Due to his mixed heritage, he was named Daken (Japanese for mongrel) by those around him and shunned. Eventually falling under the tutelege of the man called Romulus, Daken soon discovered his parentage and now seeks the peace his father wanted for him.
JOHN WRAITH
A member of the Weapon X Program, John Wraith was once called Kestrel and worked alongside Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, and Silver Fox in Team X. A mutant with the ability to teleport and given an age suppressant, Wraith is a master of firearms and worked for many years as a mercenary. Now he works for Landau, Luckman, and Lake as the new Expeditor. With Logan dead, Wraith has made it his personal mission to see to it that his old friend manages to rest in peace, and he’ll kill anyone who gets in his way.
SILVER SAMURAI
The illegitimate son of Shingen Yashida, Kenuichio Harada is a mutant with the ability to generate a tachyon field around any object. A former criminal and assassin, Harada reformed through the help of his half-sister, Mariko. Following her death, Harada continued her quest to restore honor to the Clan Yashida and impressed his former foe Wolverine to the point that Logan entrusted Harada with the care of his foster daughter, Amiko. Now a symbol to his nation, the Silver Samurai is the leader of Big Hero 6, Japan’s answer to the Avengers.
AMIKO KOBAYASHI
Amiko Kobayashi was just a young child in Japan when her mother was killed by a dragon. Though he couldn’t save her mother, the man called Wolverine did manage to rescue Amiko. Before she died, her mother pleaded with Logan to care for Amiko and keep her safe, a debt of honor Logan took on, claiming Amiko as his ward. Since then, he left the young girl in the care of his good friends, the Silver Samurai and Yukio. Amiko has grown much since then, becoming a skilled ninja thanks to the training she’s received from her guardians.
YUKIO
A thief and a ronin, Yukio was once employed by Shingen Yashida to assassinate Wolverine, but she instead found herself attracted to him and they instead worked together to bring down Shingen. Since then, Yukio served as a valuable ally to Wolverine and later Storm. Despite her somewhat wild nature, Wolverine entrusted Yukio with the care of Amiko, a role which Yukio surprisingly grew to love. Yukio alongwith the Silver Samurai have provided Amiko with expert training in the martial arts.
