X-Corps

PETE WISDOM

Pete WisdomAs a former operative of both Black Air and the Weird Happenings Organization (WHO), Pete Wisdom is no stranger to espionage. His experience both in the world of black ops, as well as his time spent with Excalibur is what prompted Rory Campbell to appoint Wisdom as the Director of X-Corps. Although he has a dark past and a surly attitude, Wisdom’s teammates know that when the time comes, they can count on him and his “hot knives” in case of trouble. With Bishop, he leads the X-Corps.

BISHOP

BishopThis is not his world. The man known only as Bishop comes from an era some 70-100 years in the future. In his time, he served as a member of the Xavier Security Enforcers (XSE), hunting down mutant criminals and bringing them to justice. When Trevor Fitzroy and over a hundred criminals escaped into a time portal, Bishop followed in pursuit. It was then that he came into contact with the X-Men and joined their numbers. With his ability to absorb and rechannel energy, he has proven himself time and time again. However, it was his experience that has given him a leadership position with the X-Corps.

CABLE

CableNathan Dayspring Summers was infected by Apocalypse with a techno-organic virus that would have ravaged his body and eventually consumed him had he not been taken two thousand years into the future to be raised by the Clan Askani. His telepathic and telekinetic abilities developed and he later travelled back in time, destined to destroy the one man who had shaped the course of his life – Apocalypse. With Apocalypse dead, Cable went underground for a time, but has recently resurfaced. He now lends his former safe houses and body sliding technology to X-Corps.

PSYLOCKE

PsylockeBorn and bred in England, Elisabeth Braddock first started out as a supermodel and also carried out occasional espionage missions for the British government. Shortly afterwards, she used her telepathic abilities as a member of the X-Men. It was with the X-Men that Betsy’s mind was placed into the body of Kwannon, a Japanese assassin. Psylocke continued her time with the X-Men, almost suffering death at the hands of Sabretooth. After the mysterious Crimson Dawn saved her life, she continued with the X-Men and pursued a relationship with Archangel until she was fired from their ranks. Now she serves as a member of X-Corps.

CANNONBALL

CannonballOne of the original members of the New Mutants, Sam Guthrie spent his youth learning to develop his skills first as a student of Professor Xavier, then Magneto, and finally, the time-travelling warrior known as Cable. In his lifetime, Sam has led X-Force and even served as a member of the X-Men as Cannonball for a period of time. He can generate a field of kinetic energy which allows him to rocket through the air at incredible speeds and protects him from harm. After serving a stint with the Avengers, Sam took Nightcrawler’s place in X-Corps.

BEDLAM

BedlamJesse Aaronson (also known as Jesse Bedlam) possesses the power to scramble mechanical or electrical components. He recruited Domino’s help in finding his long-lost brother, Christopher, and eventually enlisted X-Force’s aid as well and then joined the team. He hasn’t served with X-Force for quite some time and now finds himself as part of X-Corps.

MELTDOWN

MeltdownThe young woman named Tabitha Smith is possessed of the ability to create spheres of energy which explode with concussive force. She has undergone many name changes since her days as an X-Factor trainee – from Boom-Boom, to Boomer, and then finally adopting the codename Meltdown when her personality became more vivacious. With X-Force a thing of the past, Meltdown now brings her experience and abilities serving once again under Cable as an operative of X-Corps.

MIMIC

MimicCalvin Rankin’s father, a scientist, unlocked a latent mutant ability in Rankin to copy the powers of any mutant in his immediate vicinity. Calling himself the Mimic, Rankin permanently gained the abilities of the original five X-Men—Cyclops’ optic blasts, Angel’s wings, Beast’s strength and agility, Marvel Girl’s telepathy, and Iceman’s temperature control. He can also copy the powers of other mutants and his powers have been altered so he can retain mimicked talents indefinitely. In recent years, Mimic became a terrorist with the Brotherhood, but now serves with X-Corps as a way of redeeming himself for past sins.

SKIN

SkinAngelo Espinosa grew up on the harsh East side of Los Angeles where he was involved in gang warfare. After his mutant gift of six feet of extra skin manifested itself, he was kidnapped by the Phalanx, then later rescued by the X-Men. He joined Generation X and was a member of the team for a couple years until a fight with teammate Chamber caused him to leave. After a run-in with the Friends of Humanity, Skin found sanctuary within the Xavier Institute and joined their ranks. He now serves as an operative with X-Corps.

FANTOMEX

FantomexWhen the X-Men first crossed swords with Black Womb, they encountered one of the organization’s creations, the man called Fantomex. Armed with incredible reflexes, Fantomex joined the X-Men to help bring down Black Womb as well as to search for his son, another of Black Womb’s creations. With the formation of X-Corps, Fantomex followed his teammates from the X-Men, still intent on getting his revenge.

SUNPYRE

SunpyreLeyu Yoshida is the younger sister of Japanese superhero and former X-Man Sunfire. She has the same ability to control heat as her brother, although it seems her abilities could be far more powerful than his. Having come to America to go to college, Leyu was soon after kidnapped by the Friends of Humanity. Upon her release, Leyu met the X-Men and, against her brother’s wishes, joined their ranks. Sunpyre serves as an operative of X-Corps but was recently assigned to an undercover mission.

WARP SAVANT

Warp SavantNot much is known of the mysterious mutant who is only known as Warp Savant. He was discovered in Seattle by the X-Men and joined their ranks shortly before being invited to serve with X-Corps. He possesses the mutant ability to break down matter into psionic energy and either draw it into his psyche or reassemble it wherever he chooses.

OMEGA

OmegaQuentin Quire was living the life of a college student in London until Black Womb tried to capture him for their experiments. Quentin was saved from Black Womb agents by Fantomex and Ecstacy and was given an offer to join the X-Corps as a recruit in training. Since the attack by the Hellfire Club and with X-Corps’ numbers a bit depleted, Omega was promoted to the status of a full operative. Quentin is an omega-level mutant, where he derives his name from, and could potentially possess the most-powerful psionic mind on the planet.
